Why should I bother posting in the community chat?

Why it's important to share your journey with others

There are a few benefits from posting your journey, questions, goals and anything else appropriate in the community chat. Here are a few specific ones!

  • Accountability: when someone else knows your goal, you’re more likely to follow through. There’s a psychological effect (the “Hawthorne effect”) where you perform better simply because you know you’re being observed.

  • Encouragement and support: when you hit inevitable low points, someone aware of your goal can encourage you, remind you why you started, or even help you troubleshoot.

  • Learning faster: posting your questions is the quickest way to get opinions and answers from the community. This could be about what people are thinking about the new challenges launching, or perhaps you want to ask if anyone has had success with the plan you’re about to select. Someone else has probably struggled with your exact problem before, and they can help!

So it may be tough - but connecting with others in the community may just help them on their fitness journey, if not helping you on yours!
